>LOTY stands for "Level of the Year", inspired by the game awards event GOTY (Game of the Year). It is a yearly level awarding event held at the end of each year, collecting candidates from A Dance of Fire and Ice custom levels and awarding them based on judges' reviews and user votes in various categories.

>LOTY was founded by Nichipe and started hosting this event from 2020-2022. It was then taken over by rKizCora from 2023 onwards while establishing the "LOTYTeam" to help run this historic event. Since 2022, LOTY was given the incentive that candidate levels and awarded levels will have a chance to be in the "Featured Levels" list (or, in other words, be officially included in the game).
